At Cascade Baking, the process of making our breads is considered an art and is never rushed. Each load of bread is hand formed and naturally fermented to bring out its fullest flavor. Many breads are naturally leavened with wild yeast or sourdough making some of the best European style artisan bread and pan-baked bread in the area.
All of the breads in our bread bakery are baked in an all-brick hearth oven where the moisture from the bread dough along with the radiant heat from the oven chamber creates a naturally crusty exterior while preserving the inside. This bread baking art form may be more time-consuming yet ultimately makes a more perfect loaf of bread that is nutritious and tastes delicious.
